The wraps are finally off from the brand new high-riding supercar, the Huracan Sterrato, at the Art Basel in Miami Beach. Joining the likes of Porsche 911 Dakar, it is limited to 1499 units and is expected to go on sale in February 2023.
Sporting a 5.2 Litre V10 engine that offers 602bhp and 560Nm of maximum torque at 6,500rmp, it marks a loss of 29bhp and 40Nm to the standard Huracan AWD. Going from 0 to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 260km/h, the new sports car is set to win the hearts of all car fanatics.
With 44m more ground clearance that the Huracan EVO, the Sterrato also offers more suspension travel. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, sending power to all wheels through an all-wheel-drive system that’s electronically controlled. Furthermore, the front and rear tracks are increased by 30mm and 34mm.
Lamborghini has changed the front bumper and installed an aluminium underbody protection, riding on 19-inch wheels that are specially designed and outfitted with Bridgestone off-road tyres. An off-road version of the V-10-powered supercar, it is likely to be Lamborghini’s final pure combustion-engined model. The higher ground clearance offers a new stance on the first look. The brand’s first all-terrain super sports car can go on and off the asphalt.
The Sterrato loses the roof-mounted LED light bar and has chunky side skirts, roof rails, and bolt-on rugged fender flares. The rear has a revised diffuser alongside an improved departure angle.
The roof rails and cook air intake offer better breathability. In addition, the LED lights on the nose, flared wheel arches, small lip spoiler at the rear, air scoop on the roof, and black roof rails have car fanatics their eyes peeled.
The car sports three driving modes: Strada, Sport, and Rally. Furthermore, the car’s instrument cluster has a digital inclinometer with a pitch and roll indicator, compass, steering angle indicator and geographic coordinate indicator.
The interior doesn’t have significant modifications and retains most of Huracan EVO’s features and technology. Boasting new Alcantara Verde upholstery, the car’s interiors are pleasing to the eye and sport a luxurious feel. The exterior boasts a gorgeous satin-finished khaki paint colour, contrasting beautifully with red accents on the claddings and brake callipers.
The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Configurator enables customers to build their own supercars. With an extensive colour palette offerings numerous colour options, the configurator has various customisation options, allowing you to design the supercar as distinctively as you want. The exterior colours have been divided into different groups- Sportiva, Contemporanea, Eclettica, Classica, Tecnica and Ad Personam Palette. The Sportiva has bright hues, whereas Contemporanea has subtle shades. If you like old-school paint, the Classica is the ideal choice. However, opt for Tecnica if you prefer a modern touch with matte finishes. Finally, the Ad Personam Pallete has all the more options if nothing else floats your boat.
